Three partnership signals: when to take the trick and when to yield

When your partner wins the lead and starts shedding smaller cards, they may be clearing loose cards. Keeping their run alive can be better than taking the lead back quickly.

A pass does not mean an empty hand. Your partner may be protecting a bomb, level card, or key combination; the plays they decline tell you whether to take over.

Bombs matter most when they block an opponent, return initiative to a partner, or start your own finish. Good partnership play saves resources for the team’s turning point.
